Developments: 2. In early September, Boca Juniors midfielder and captain Leandro Paredes sustained a left hamstring injury during a match against Vélez. While the injury caused him difficulty walking and forced a substitution, coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena described the situation as “not serious” and a “scare.” The club focused on medical studies to ensure his availability for the Copa Libertadores quarter-final series. In early October, a fire broke out at Paredes’ residence in the Saint Thomas Este-Oeste gated community in Esteban Echeverría. Firefighters from the Esteban Echeverría Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and managed to contain the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to the rest of the house. Although the property sustained material damage, no injuries or fatalities were reported. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire originated in a mezzanine area involving a boiler or a battery. While it is unconfirmed which family members were inside at the time, Paredes resides in the home with his wife, Camila Galante, and their three children. Neither the footballer nor his wife has made a public statement regarding the event. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-02: Leandro Paredes' home in Argentina suffers fire damage A fire caused material damage to the home of Boca Juniors captain Leandro Paredes in Esteban Echeverría, Argentina.
