The Indian Army has entered into multiple agreements to provide educational fee concessions for the children of serving and retired personnel. 

In August 2026, the Army signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guru Nanak Group of Institutions in Bidar, Karnataka. This agreement focuses on enhancing educational opportunities and includes increased assistance for children of personnel who died in service and for children with disabilities. 

In September 2026, the Army expanded these efforts by signing an MoU with the Combined (PG) Institute of Medical Science & UIHMT Group of Colleges in Dehradun. This agreement also provides special tuition fee concessions to eligible wards of personnel, with enhanced support specifically for the children of those who made the ‘supreme sacrifice’.
