The Indian National Congress has organized a ‘Vote Bachao, Desh Bachao’ (Save the Vote, Save the Country) campaign, centered on a planned mega-rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1. The mobilization responds to allegations of widespread electoral irregularities, specifically the deletion of names from voter lists during the Special Intensive Revision process.

Congress leaders have framed the issue as an attack on the Constitution and ‘vote theft,’ particularly in BJP-ruled states. During the mobilization, party members have called for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. While local Congress officials have held preparatory meetings to organize large delegations for the Delhi event, the BJP has criticized the timing of the protest. Additionally, local business groups have requested the INDIA alliance postpone the rally to avoid commercial disruptions during the festive season.
