By August 2026, the company reported significant growth in the Indonesian automotive market. From January to July 2026, Daihatsu recorded retail sales of 84,959 units, a 6.2 percent increase over the previous year, with July sales specifically rising by 13.6 percent. The Gran Max series accounted for more than half of these sales, contributing to a 16.6 percent national market share.

Mitsubishi Motors also experienced growth in the region, with retail sales reaching 40,331 units in the first seven months of 2026, an 8.2 percent increase year-on-year. Mitsubishi's vehicle production rose by 20.1 percent to 112,500 units, exceeding the national automotive industry's production growth rate of 10.4 percent.
