Throughout July and August 2026, Pertamina advanced its sustainability, energy security, and micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) support initiatives. In July, the company facilitated halal certification for 50 UMKM and expanded market access via Pelita Air. In early August, Pertamina’s Rumah BUMN initiative supported 13 UMKM at a bazaar in Tojo Una-Una, Central Sulawesi, providing mentoring and encouraging digital payments via QRIS to increase competitiveness.

On the energy front, Pertamina reported exceeding its first-semester 2026 decarbonization target by 18%, reaching 118% of its emission reduction goal through bioethanol, biofuel, and energy efficiency programs. The company's low carbon business performance reached 101% of its target, while governance-related ESG metrics achieved 102%, maintaining its position as a top ESG-rated company in the Integrated Oil and Gas sub-industry. To further these goals, the company is developing a hydrogen hub in North Sumatra, advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) projects, and producing biogasoline at the Cilacap and Balongan refineries. Additionally, Pertamina is working to boost natural gas production at the Pangkah Work Area in Gresik, East Java.

Regarding distribution and maritime operations, Pertamina Patra Niaga conducted inspections at the Tanjung Uban Integrated Terminal in the Riau Islands to ensure fuel and LPG security for Sumatra and Kalimantan. Pertamina Marine Solutions (PMSol) continues exploring international expansions in China. Meanwhile, the 'Kampung Bahari Si Pelaut' initiative in Batam continues to support local fishermen and women-led MSMEs through aquaculture assistance and mangrove rehabilitation.

Commercially, Pertamina cut non-subsidized fuel prices twice in July and increased subsidized 3-kg LPG allocations to West Java to ensure regional stability.
