As the situation progressed, the venue for the match remained undecided. While Turkey was proposed as a potential neutral location, no official decision was reached by the federations. The uncertainty was linked to security concerns regarding holding the match in Jordan. Recent reports indicate that organizers are considering moving the match to a neutral location, with Turkey emerging as a strong candidate. This potential shift may also affect Jordan’s subsequent friendly against Australia, which could also be relocated to Turkey. PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir stated that the federation is working with coach John Herdman to develop alternative plans for the November international window. Concurrently, the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, originally set to be held in Saudi Arabia from January to February 2027, faced significant disruption.
