Following the 2026 Asian Games, the Indonesian badminton team departed for a European tour to compete in the Denmark Open, the French Open, and the Hylo Open.

Upon arriving in Odense, Denmark, the squad commenced physical adaptation training led by trainer Ahmad Jaelani. These sessions focused on stretching, mobility, strength, and endurance to manage muscle stiffness and prepare for technical court training. As the Denmark Open progressed, the men’s doubles contingent faced setbacks: Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin were eliminated in the round of 32 by England’s Ben Lane and Sean Vendy, a loss Raymond attributed to the English pair’s “experience and maturity.” Additionally, Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin withdrew due to Marthin experiencing “significant elbow pain.” Coach Antonius Budi Ariantho stated the withdrawal was necessary to prioritize Marthin’s recovery for the French Open.

During the Hylo Open 2026 in Saarbrucken, Germany, four Indonesian representatives advanced past the first round. In men’s doubles, Raymond Indra and Nikolaus Joaquin secured a victory against Germany’s Jonathan Dresp and Simon Krax. Other advancing pairs included Febrina Dwipuji Kusuma/Meilysa Trias Puspitasari, Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani. In the women’s doubles, the third-seeded pair of Kusuma and Puspitasari defeated Poland’s Paulina Cybulska and Kornelia Marczak. Jonatan Christie remains Indonesia’s sole contender in the men’s singles category for the tournament.
