Indonesian authorities have conducted separate investigations into large-scale corporate misconduct involving different companies.

In one case, the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) arrested Tatang Winata, the Director of PT TSI, at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Winata, a fugitive arriving from Seoul, is a suspect in an illegal importation scheme involving used mobile phones and baby supplies from China and South Korea, valued at approximately Rp253 billion.

In a separate matter, the Attorney General's Office named Anwar Laden, Director and Corporate Secretary of PT Toba Pulp Lestari (PT TPL), as a suspect in a transfer pricing corruption case. Laden is accused of manipulating Harmonized System (HS) codes to under-invoice dissolving pulp between 2008 and 2025. The scheme, which allegedly involved bribing tax examiners, is estimated to have caused state financial losses of approximately Rp2 trillion.
