# Indonesian Traffic Police 71st anniversary celebrations

To commemorate the 71st anniversary of the Bhayangkara Traffic Police, various Indonesian police directorates held social, educational, and spiritual activities under the theme ‘Polantas Presisi, Mengabdi untuk Negeri’. 

In West Java, the regional police organized vehicle inspections and servicing for online motorcycle taxi drivers, blood donation drives, and an exhibition of official traffic vehicles alongside a market for local MSMEs. 

In Jakarta, Korlantas Polri organized a ceremony led by Irjen Wibowo, followed by a joint prayer session at the At-Taqwa Mosque. This event included charitable donations to orphans and involved members of the public, such as couriers and online motorcycle taxi drivers. In Palembang, the South Sumatra Regional Police Directorate of Traffic conducted spiritual commemorations at the Nurul Qur’an Tahfidz Islamic Boarding School, featuring collective prayers, blood donations, and health services.

The anniversary also included the presentation of national awards by the National Police Chief. The North Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltara) received three honors: the Commander Wish Polantas Karib award, the IRSMS Award 2025 for traffic accident data analysis and policy formulation, and a victory in a high school-level scientific paper competition. Additionally, in Karawang, Aipda Syarif Hidayat was honored for his creative use of social media to provide traffic education and enhance the police force’s digital image.
