Two separate fatal industrial accidents occurred in the Ankara region during late 2026.

On September 27, a maintenance worker died at the Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) Gazi Fişek Fabrikası in Etimesgut during routine work at a water heating center. The incident resulted in one death and two injuries, though MKE management stated that production lines were not affected.

On October 19, a 24-year-old worker died at a galvanized steel factory in Kahramankazan. The worker was reportedly crushed when a metal structure lost stability while he was attempting to secure it. Following the incident, authorities detained the factory manager, production supervisor, and foreman as investigations into safety protocol violations continue.
