Industrial trade events scheduled for late 2026 are increasingly centering on the integration of advanced digital technologies within manufacturing.

The AMB international metalworking trade fair in Stuttgart, set for September, highlights automation, the circular economy, and artificial intelligence. Industry data indicates that AI has transitioned from experimental use to practical application, with over 80 percent of surveyed companies viewing the technology as highly significant. Specific exhibitors for the AMB event, scheduled for September 15 to 19, 2026, include Fastems, which will demonstrate flexible automation for CNC machines, and akf-Bank, which will present financing solutions to assist clients during global supply chain shifts.

In October, the industrial landscape in Germany expands with the Motek and Bondexpo trade fairs in Stuttgart. These events will integrate the Vision trade fair, alongside EFX (electronics manufacturing) and Quantum Effects (quantum technologies), to provide a comprehensive overview of production technology, automation, and image processing.

Additionally, Munich will host the first European edition of the ‘Champions of Manufacturing’ conference on October 8-9, 2026. Organized by manufacturing software company Redzone, the event seeks to support the DACH region in closing a digital gap, as regional digitalization and AI adoption rates currently lag behind global averages. The conference aims to address skilled labor shortages and rising costs through software-driven productivity.

Following these events, the ABISS Breda summit in the Netherlands, scheduled for December, will address the transition toward connected and cyber-secure manufacturing, focusing on the convergence of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT).
