Stojković appeared before the Municipal Misdemeanor Court in Split, facing charges of violating the Law on Combating Discrimination and disturbing public order. The court ordered a 15-day detention to prevent reoffending, citing his status as a public figure with a large social media following. 

During his court appearance, Stojković expressed regret, stating, “I am now aware that I should not have done that because I could hurt other nations. I do not hate the Croatian people.” He noted that he plays for a Croatian club in Vienna and had not anticipated the public reaction to the tattoos.
