In late August 2026, the state governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh announced major infrastructure investments. Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma detailed a project exceeding ₹35,107 crore to expand road networks to rural and urban areas. Simultaneously, Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav approved ₹10,630 crore for various sectors, including a ₹4,600 crore loan to the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation for major route construction.

Additional allocations include ₹1,166.60 crore for 11 transport schemes to improve citizen facilities, and ₹491 crore for horticulture and food processing to boost farmer income. In the irrigation sector, more than ₹2,607 crore was approved for three major projects—Chitawad in Ujjain, Gaund in Singrauli, and Chanderi in Ashoknagar—aiming to develop irrigation capacity across more than 127,000 hectares.
