Infrastructure projects in Mato Grosso, Brazil, have focused on road maintenance and new construction to manage traffic. 

In late September, maintenance work on the Rodovia dos Imigrantes (BR-070) near Cuiabá required temporary traffic alterations at the MT-040 junction to facilitate deep pavement recovery at a viaduct entrance. 

Following this, the Mato Grosso State Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra-MT) initiated the construction of two new urban viaducts in Rondonópolis. These projects, representing a total investment of R$ 83 million, aim to alleviate congestion. One 204-meter structure at the intersection of Avenida Fernando Correa and other major avenues is expected to be completed in late 2027, while a second 384-meter project is being developed at the junction of Avenida dos Estudantes and the Ring Road.
