In the Kongo Central province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, construction is progressing on the Nkamba road. This project, part of the ‘Chemin de la Passion’ initiative in the Mbanza-Ngungu territory, is a joint partnership between the Congolese government and SICOMINES. 

The work covers an 8-kilometer stretch intended to modernize the route to the Kimbanguist holy city. Engineers report that the linear distance has been opened, with current efforts focused on earthworks, sanitation, and the wearing course to enhance regional corridors and local economic activity.
