Infrastructure and maintenance projects are being implemented across the Pontevedra region. Through the Plan +Provincia 2026-2027, which allocates 85 million euros to municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, the Pontevedra Provincial Council has approved funding for road improvements in Gondomar and Salceda de Caselas.

Gondomar will receive 80,000 euros to pave a road in Santa Lucía, Vincios, involving surface renewal and the installation of double gutters. Salceda de Caselas has been allocated 160,000 euros to improve eleven municipal roads across parishes such as Santa María de Salceda, Budiño, Soutelo, and A Picoña, focusing on paving unpaved sections and widening roads.

The Pontevedra City Council has also launched a project to restore urban public lighting with a budget of approximately 153,673 euros. This initiative involves cleaning, sanitizing, and repainting 700 support columns using polyurethane protective paint, with 101,580 euros allocated to the northern zone and 52,092 euros for the southern area. Up to 176 unfit supports will be replaced with steel or aluminum columns.

Urban development is further expanding through residential and public works totaling approximately 33 million euros. Mayor Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores announced two new building projects in the Eduardo Pondal area that will add 248 homes via an investment exceeding 20 million euros. Ongoing public works include water and sanitation renovations on Casimiro Gómez street, progress on Rúa do Santo, and works on Luís Seoane street. Additionally, environmental efforts are underway to renaturalize the Dos Gafos river through wastewater sanitation and the construction of pedestrian walkways.
