Infrastructure upgrades have commenced on the Avanos-Çavuşin road in the Cappadocia region. Following a protocol between the Avanos Municipality and the Nevşehir Special Provincial Administration, work has begun to apply a 5-centimeter thick bituminous hot mix (BSK) comfort layer to a 1.7-kilometer stretch of the route.

Avanos Mayor Mustafa Kenan Sarıtaş announced that the municipality has contributed 10 million TL toward the road surfacing project. Additionally, 3 million TL has been allocated for an illuminated bicycle path running through the Avanos-Çavuşin-Göreme route. These investments aim to enhance driving safety, improve transport comfort, and strengthen the region’s tourism potential.
