Authorities in Spain and Argentina have intercepted individuals attempting to transport cocaine internally via air travel.

In Valencia, Spain, a 46-year-old Hungarian national was remanded in custody after being intercepted at Valencia Airport. Following an abdominal X-ray, police confirmed he had swallowed narcotic pellets on a flight from Brazil via Lisbon. The suspect was held under police guard at a hospital to expel the substances, having already expelled nearly half a kilogram of cocaine.

In Argentina, security forces detained a man and a woman suspected of narcotics trafficking. The woman was found to have ingested nearly 200 cocaine capsules. The suspects were intercepted by Airport Security Police at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery during a layover while traveling from Salta to Río Gallegos.
