Serbia is set to host high-level international athletics events in early September 2026.

On September 5, the Belgrade 10K RUN will take place at Friendship Park. Organized by the Belgrade Marathon, the race features a flat course intended to attract elite international competitors, including Kenyan runner Veldon Langat and several other athletes from the African continent.
