The National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service (NaVCIS) and regional forces, such as Kent Police and the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, targeted stolen finance vehicles, luxury cars, and agricultural machinery. These operations aimed to mitigate the significant economic impact of cargo theft from heavy goods vehicles. This enforcement expanded into a broader international effort through INTERPOL’s ‘Project Drive Out’.
