Veracruz is scheduled to host several international events between 2026 and 2027. In late 2026, the region will host the Euforia Fest Veracruz, an international women's volleyball tournament featuring 170 teams, followed by the Copa Veracruz de Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Looking ahead to April 2027, the Port of Veracruz will host the Velas Latinoamérica festival. Scheduled from April 9 to 12, 2027, this international maritime event will bring together approximately 12 training ships from various Latin American nations, including the Mexican training ship ARM Cuauhtémoc. Organized by the Mexican Secretariat of the Navy, the Armada de México, and local government authorities from Veracruz, Alvarado, and Boca del Río, the festival aims to promote maritime culture, cooperation, and regional identity. The event is expected to boost the local economy and will feature public activities such as ship visits, crew parades, and naval reviews.
