The 23rd Interpretacje National Festival of Directing Arts is scheduled for October 17 to 26, 2026. For the first time, Teatr Śląski im. Stanisława Wyspiańskiego will act as the primary organizer in collaboration with the city of Katowice and the Katowice Miasto Ogrodów institution.

Katowice has allocated 1.5 million PLN to the festival, with an additional 200,000 PLN provided by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. While centered in Katowice, the event will include a performance at Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzów.

The festival has adopted its first official motto, ‘Prawda jest pomiędzy’ (Truth is in between), inspired by director Konrad Swinarski. Curator Bartosz Cudak stated the motto aims to address modern social, economic, and political polarizations through engaged theater.
