Sources: 18. Developments: 2. Authorities in Jalisco are investigating Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán, a site previously identified by the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) as a recruitment and training center for the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG). Controversy has emerged following claims made by an alleged CJNG member in an interview with the Italian outlet TG1. The individual claimed that over 500 people were murdered at the ranch and that he personally incinerated 250 victims. The FGR has dismissed these claims of mass incineration as false. While the FGR reports that forensic processing of the site is 92 percent complete and that 15 individuals potentially linked to the camp have been prosecuted, local search collectives like Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco continue to call for deeper investigations. These groups cite physical evidence found at the site, including clothing, footwear, and bone fragments, which they believe suggest the presence of a large mass grave. Ongoing judicial efforts include the analysis of victim testimony and mobile device data. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-16: FGR denies mass incineration claims at Rancho Izaguirre Mexico's FGR has denied allegations from a suspected CJNG member claiming that 250 people were incinerated at Rancho Izaguirre in Jalisco, stating forensic work is 92 percent complete. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/fgr-denies-mass-incineration-claims-at-rancho-izaguirre ### 2026-10-14: FGR denies mass incineration claims at Jalisco training camp Mexico's FGR denied reports of mass human incineration at Rancho Izaguirre in Jalisco, stating the site was a CJNG training camp with forensic processing 92 percent complete. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/fgr-denies-mass-incineration-claims-at-jalisco-training-camp --- Cite as: Investigation of CJNG training camp in Jalisco.
