In cooperation with Kazakhstan, Iran is strengthening the International North-South Transport Corridor. Following a 12% rise in cargo transit through the corridor in 2025, Kazakhstan signed a 27-year agreement in June 2026 to build a 15-hectare transit and logistics terminal at the Shahid Rajaee port near Bandar Abbas. Furthermore, the Incheh Borun logistics hub is attracting investment from Kazakh and Russian companies to facilitate movement from China and Central Asia toward Europe. Simultaneously, Iran and Pakistan are working to increase bilateral trade from $3 billion to a target of $10 billion.
