By the end of the second day, Jammu and Kashmir reached a total of 278, fueled by scores from Paras Dogra, Abdul Samad, and Lone Nasir Muzaffar. This resulted in a 41-run first-innings lead. Rest of India, having seen Mukesh Choudhary take 5/78, reached 24/1 in their second innings, trailing by 17 runs.

Rest of India ultimately secured their 31st Irani Cup title with a 167-run victory. Smaran Ravichandran was named Player of the Match after scoring 68 in the first innings and a crucial 135 in the second, helping set a target of 279. His second-innings century included a vital 113-run ninth-wicket partnership with Mukesh Choudhary.

In the final stages, Jammu and Kashmir were bowled out for just 111 in their second attempt. Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar was the decisive factor, claiming 6-33 during a dominant second-innings spell that included taking three wickets in four deliveries and dismissing captain Paras Dogra for a duck. Akash Deep supported the attack with figures of 3-25.

Rest of India captain Rishabh Pant, who missed the final day due to fever, praised the team’s tactical adjustment to bowl a fuller line and attack the stumps rather than bowling short. The victory was also marked by teammates celebrating Pant’s 29th birthday.
