The fourth annual Isle of Van 9-Hour Motorcycle Endurance Challenge was scheduled to take place on August 23 at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. Organized by Higgy’s On The Track, the event was designed to support three local organizations: the Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association, the Cowichan Brain Injury Society, and the Cowichan Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Following the event, it was reported that the challenge raised a total of $81,765. The competition included 17 rider teams and drew an estimated 1,500 attendees. From a lump sum of $76,265, funds were distributed to the Cowichan Brain Injury Society ($32,840), the Canadian Mental Health Association-Cowichan Branch ($25,995), and the Cowichan Therapeutic Riding Association ($17,430). Additional revenue was collected through a silent auction and food sales.
