The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have introduced ISO/UNDP 53001, the first voluntary international management system standard dedicated to integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into organizational governance, strategy, and operations.

Launched during the ISO General Assembly in Paris, the standard provides a framework for organizations to translate sustainability ambitions into measurable actions. It enables entities to analyze their context, prioritize impacts, manage risks and opportunities, and harmonize practices between the private sector and governments globally.
