A documentary titled ‘Paging Hezbollah’ has detailed the multi-year Israeli intelligence operation that involved infiltrating supply chains to plant explosives in communication devices. This operation resulted in two waves of explosions in September 2024 across Lebanon and Syria, targeting pagers and walkie-talkies used by Hezbollah. The film includes accounts from figures such as Benjamin Netanyahu and David Barnea, describing the infiltration as a ‘modern-day Trojan horse.’

Further details regarding the pager operation were provided by former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who noted that the plot nearly faced exposure due to a suspicious Hezbollah member and the arrival of Iranian-supplied X-ray equipment. To maintain secrecy, Israel reportedly conducted targeted strikes on the individual and the scanning equipment, framing them as unrelated incidents.
