Following a road rage dispute on August 18 in the Selahaddin Eyyübi neighborhood of Istanbul, a driver identified as O. Ç. pursued another motorist, A. M. A. S., and blocked their path. The suspect reportedly exited his vehicle and used a knife to puncture the tires of the other car. 

Following an investigation by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, O. Ç. was arrested on charges including deprivation of liberty and the unlawful interception or detention of a transport vehicle.
