This growth is driven by high demand and limited supply, with the city facing a housing deficit of more than 15,000 homes. The region's luxury segment has also gained international recognition, exemplified by the ‘O Tempo’ development winning multiple awards. Itajaí’s sales volume has outperformed neighboring municipalities including Itapema, Porto Belo, and Balneário Camboriú.
