Regarding temporary installations, items such as umbrellas are classified as mobile furniture under Article 1122 of the Civil Code. These do not require formal condominium assembly authorization but must respect architectural decorum, safety, and neighbors' views. 

Vegetation is also subject to specific limitations. A ruling by the Court of Lecce (sent. n. 2226 of July 15, 2013) established that balcony hedges should generally remain within the height of the balcony railing to prevent residents from invading the visual space of neighbors or obstructing access to light and air.

Furthermore, the installation of structures like pergotende (pergola tents) is restricted to protect the right to a vertical view, or ‘veduta in appiombo’, as defined by Article 907 of the Civil Code. This right extends from a resident's openings down to the base of the building. There is an absolute prohibition on constructing any structure within three meters of these direct, oblique, or vertical views. A ruling by the Court of Rome emphasized that even covering a parking space cannot infringe upon a neighbor's view or compromise building security; violations may result in mandatory removal of the structure and payment of damages.
