Various community initiatives in Italy are launching free Italian language courses to support the social and professional integration of foreign residents.

In Lucera, the Prossima association is entering its fourth year of operating a free school for foreigners. Managed by 40 volunteers, the program has assisted over 100 people in navigating local services, documentation, and employment. The association has launched a crowdfunding campaign to maintain the program’s accessibility.

Other regional projects include the ‘N.O.O.R. – Una luce per le donne migranti’ project in Primaluna, which offers lessons for migrant women and includes a babysitting service to promote autonomy. Additionally, Caritas in Pedaso is organizing courses to provide linguistic tools for interacting with medical professionals, schools, and public offices, as well as facilitating workforce entry.
