Italian authorities, led by the Carabinieri and the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate, conducted a major crackdown against the Angelino clan, a Camorra criminal organization operating in the Caivano and Casoria areas of Naples.

The operation resulted in the arrest of 34 individuals, with 47 people under investigation for crimes including armed mafia association, drug trafficking, and extortion. During searches in the Bronx neighborhood of Caivano, investigators discovered over 3.2 million euros in cash hidden within the walls, floors, and furniture of an apartment. 

In addition to the currency, law enforcement seized luxury watches, various firearms including Kalashnikov-type rifles and pistols, and items used for drug trafficking. The investigation, which included a multi-month undercover component, also addressed the use of smuggled mobile phones by incarcerated members to communicate with the outside world.
