Cultural and humanitarian initiatives in Italy are providing support and platforms for those affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip. In Rome, the film ‘Sarkha’ is being screened to explore the experiences of Palestinian women and children and to discuss cultural resistance. Meanwhile, in Palermo, the ‘Fiori dai Cannoni’ project assists Gazan students who have received scholarships at Italian universities by providing housing and social integration support.

Further cultural engagements include events in Padova featuring poetry and music to address physical and psychological trauma, and documentary screenings in Novi Ligure. The film ‘Naza’ investigates the use of surveillance technology and artificial intelligence in military target selection and civilian casualties.
