Cultural events in Italy are highlighting the legacy of Caravaggio through various mediums. In Foligno, the Segni Barocchi Festival featured theatrical productions such as ‘Il Sole Nero – Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio’, which explored the painter’s relationship with light and the Galilean era, and ‘Gran Teatro Bernini’, which focused on the sculptor’s personal and professional conflicts.

Later in the month, the focus shifted toward Naples, which is set to host the sixth edition of the Caravaggio Prize on October 3, 2026. This event aims to celebrate the historical connection between the artist and the city. Additionally, the ‘Pack&Go’ itinerant exhibition, part of the HIC ET NUNC n. 5 workshop, is scheduled to visit Rome and Naples, showcasing works by international artists exploring themes of resilience.
