In the first half of 2026, several Italian financial institutions reported strong performance and stability. 

Banca Popolare del Lazio recorded a consolidated net profit of 9.7 million euros, a 26.2% increase from the previous year, while Clessidra Factoring saw a 45% rise in net profit to 4.4 million euros. 

Following these reports, Banca Popolare di Puglia e Basilicata (BPPB) announced a net profit of €23.7 million for the same period. While this figure was lower than the previous year due to €17.4 million in non-recurring income from a 2025 division sale, the bank reported a 2.3% increase in its primary intermediation margin and maintained high stability indicators, including a CET1 ratio of 24.2%.
