Various Italian communities are holding events to honor deceased former footballers. In Salerno, the first “Memorial Carlo Ricchetti” was organized by former teammates to celebrate the legacy of the former Salernitana player through a youth football event involving several Under-11 teams.

In Perugia, a religious service was scheduled to commemorate Renato Curi, a former Perugia player who died during a match in 1977. The ceremony, held at the Renato Curi Stadium, included family members and club management to honor his memory and other former players.
