In the Veneto region, a new public notice titled ‘ITS Academy del Veneto – I Tecnici del futuro’ has been approved for the 2026-2028 biennium. This initiative involves an investment of over 15.7 million euros to support technological, digital, and energy transitions. Regional Councilor for Education and Training, Valeria Mantovan, noted that the program focuses on providing immediate market-ready skills, highlighting that the employment rate for ITS graduates in Veneto is approximately 82%, which exceeds the national average.

In La Spezia, the ITS Academy has completed a major modernization of its facilities using over 3 million euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). This included the opening of a new technological campus in Via Pianagrande, featuring five specialized laboratories for mechanical design, mechatronics, industrial automation, ICT-ERP systems, and advanced manufacturing. The project also involved reorganizing the historic Via Doria site to enhance economic and logistics tracks through a new Logistics 4.0 laboratory.

Additionally, the Basilicata region has approved over 3.4 million euros to establish two new ITS Academies for the 2026-2029 triennium: one for Innovative Technologies for Cultural Goods and Tourism, and another for the Agri-food System. Regional assessor Francesco Cupparo stated the initiative aims to combat youth emigration by addressing a gap where local companies report that over 45 percent struggle to find specific professional profiles.
