Several Italian municipalities have initiated public recruitment processes for local police personnel. 

In Battipaglia, the municipality announced competitions for a Local Police Director and a Legal Director, with the police role expected to commence in February 2027. 

Similarly, Saronno has opened applications for a full-time local police officer, while San Lorenzo al Mare is seeking a new head of local police to coordinate its service following the departure of previous staff members. In San Lorenzo al Mare, responsibility for the local police has been temporarily transferred to Mayor Enzo Mazzarese until a new official is appointed.
