In Vigonza, Mayor Gianmaria Boscaro announced an experimental plan to address refuse discovered in rural areas such as via Recanati and Codivernarolo. The municipality aims to adapt urban surveillance methods, including photo traps and video monitoring, to more effectively oversee extra-urban zones where technological surveillance has been less effective. In Teramo, Teramo Ambiente S.p.A. and the municipal administration launched an integrated service following a council resolution to protect urban decorum. This strategic plan utilizes full-time environmental inspectors, dedicated monitoring vehicles, and a rapid response service for waste removal. The initiative also incorporates data monitoring to identify high-risk zones and a communication campaign to promote proper waste management behaviors. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Teramo Ambiente launches new plan to combat illegal waste dumping Teramo Ambiente and the Teramo municipality have launched a new plan featuring environmental inspectors, dedicated monitoring vehicles, and a rapid response service to combat illegal waste dumping. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/teramo-ambiente-launches-new-plan-to-combat-illegal-waste-dumping ### 2026-10-21: Vigonza Mayor launches experimental plan to combat rural waste dumping Vigonza Mayor Gianmaria Boscaro is implementing an experimental surveillance plan, including photo traps, to combat illegal waste dumping in rural areas following recent incidents. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/vigonza-mayor-launches-experimental-plan-to-combat-rural-waste-dumping --- Cite as: Italian municipal waste dumping countermeasures.
