Italy continues to host various musical initiatives focused on both emerging talent and traditional folk music.

Talent development projects remain a central focus. The twelfth edition of the Fuoriclasse Talent project, founded by Ivano Trau and Catiuscia Siddi, emphasizes long-term professional training. Following a presentation in Anzio regarding the challenges of the music sector, the competition is scheduled for November 7 in Anzio. This stage will include a masterclass led by producer Marco Rinalduzzi, followed by performances before a professional jury.

In Assisi, the eighth edition of the ‘ProSceniUm Festival della Canzone Città di Assisi’ Memorial Cristian Parisi is set for October 17 at the Teatro Lyrick. This national competition for singer-songwriters will feature nine contestants accompanied by a live orchestra, with RaiPlay serving as a media partner and a jury of industry figures including Vincenzo Incenzo, Safiria Leccese, and Alessandro Bracci.

Further educational efforts include the ‘Suona con i Maestri’ initiative at the 61st Festival Pontino, which provides specialized instruction in violin, cello, and piano to help young artists integrate into professional circuits.

Traditional performances also continue, such as the Roman stornelli and classic accordion music performed by Fabrizio Masci and Riccardo Amici near St. Peter’s Basilica. In Lecce, the SuperLocri∅ Festival at the Museo Sigismondo Castromediano features artists like Rachele Andrioli and Rocco Nigro, blending Salento roots with contemporary arrangements and tributes to figures such as Rosa Balistreri and Édith Piaf.
