Italian regional authorities continue to implement legislative and participatory initiatives focused on human rights, migration management, and social integration. 

In Puglia, the ‘MICS - Migrazione Condivisa e Sostenibile’ project has progressed through a participatory process across six provinces to draft a Regional Plan for Migration Policies addressing labor, housing, health, and migrant empowerment. In Potenza, the Territorial Council for Immigration has convened to discuss assisted voluntary repatriation and the implementation of new EU migration screening regulations.

Broader social reintegration efforts have emerged in other regions. In Catanzaro, the ‘Connessi al futuro’ project aims to provide 30 young detainees with psychological support, digital skills training, and job placement assistance over a 24-month period. Additionally, the ‘Reti attive per il lavoro’ project in Jesi is targeting vocational training and employment networks for 120 vulnerable individuals.

Regarding international cooperation, Abruzzo is presenting a new law centered on peace culture, human rights, and international cooperation. Concurrently, Uncem Abruzzo is organizing strategic planning meetings in San Giovanni Teatino to address challenges within mountain communities.
