The Italian Social Security Institute (INPS) and national labor regulations have introduced several updates regarding worker compensation and social benefits.

Under Law no. 106/2025, workers suffering from oncological diseases or specific chronic and rare conditions with a disability rating of at least 74% are eligible to recover pension contributions for up to 24 months of leave. This recovery process allows individuals to redeem leave periods or make voluntary contributions to ensure these months count toward pension eligibility and amount calculations. While the upfront costs for such recovery can be significant, the payments are tax-deductible.

Additionally, payroll and social allowance schedules for November 2026 have been clarified. Due to All Saints' Day falling on a Sunday, certain workers, such as metalworkers and domestic caregivers, may receive additional pay or compensatory rest depending on their National Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL). For the Inclusion Allowance (Assegno di Inclusione), INPS has scheduled disbursements for November 13 and November 27 to account for the weekend.
