The Il Borro estate has been awarded the ‘Tre Bicchieri’ by Gambero Rosso for its Petruna Valdarno di Sopra DOC 2021. This recognition, part of the Guida Vini d’Italia 2027, honors the estate’s use of 100% Sangiovese grapes and traditional vinification methods, including fermentation in Tuscan terracotta amphorae. 

Salvatore Ferragamo, Vice President of Il Borro, noted that the award reflects a commitment to ancient techniques that express the “essence of the relationship between wine, land, and time.” The estate has utilized organic farming since 2015 and manages approximately 1,100 hectares in the Valdarno di Sopra region.
