The Instituto Tecnológico Superior del Oriente del Estado de Hidalgo (ITESA) has expanded its academic and institutional presence in Hidalgo, Mexico.

In late September 2026, the institution opened registration for its ‘Semestre Cero’ program. This initiative is designed to assist upper secondary students in strengthening academic skills and reducing learning gaps through specialized tracks in engineering or undergraduate studies.

By October 2026, ITESA marked its 26th anniversary, reflecting on its growth from 133 students and two programs at its founding in 2000 to a current community of 2,616 students and 15 programs. The anniversary celebrations included recognizing long-serving staff, honoring female founders, presenting the ITESA Merit award to alumni, and inaugurating the ‘Pasillo de Egresadas y Egresados de Éxito’ (Hall of Successful Alumni).
