Croatian striker Ivan Mamut has officially joined Persija Jakarta from NK Varaždin. The transfer is expected to generate approximately 500,000 euros for the Croatian side. During his tenure at NK Varaždin, Mamut recorded 14 goals and six assists in 36 appearances, contributing to a third-place league finish and European qualification.

Mamut, 28, has signed a contract that runs through the 2027/2028 Super League season. He revealed that teammate Marko Simic played a significant role in his decision to move, providing “positive insights regarding the squad” that helped convince him to join the Macan Kemayoran. 

Upon joining, Mamut expressed optimism for the upcoming 2026/2027 season, stating his intention to give “100 percent in every match” to help the team compete for a championship trophy.
