IWC Schaffhausen and Mercedes-Benz have collaborated to release a limited-edition timepiece, the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar ProSet 140 Years Mercedes-Benz, commemorating the 140th anniversary of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. 

Limited to 140 units, the 42mm watch features the patented ProSet perpetual calendar mechanism, which enables users to adjust all calendar indications—both forward and backward—using a single crown position. The timepiece is powered by the Calibre 82655 automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve and includes a high-precision moon phase indicator designed to remain accurate for over a thousand years. The design incorporates a black dial with gold accents and a sapphire crystal case back engraved with the 1926 merged logo of Daimler Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie.

This release coincides with Mercedes-Benz’s broader global anniversary campaign, titled “140 Years. 140 Places.” This initiative involves a transcontinental journey where S-Class sedans travel over 60,000 kilometers across six continents to visit historically significant locations.

In a separate development within their ongoing partnership, IWC has unveiled the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Edition. This fourth official team watch features a royal purple dial and rubber strap inspired by the Vanda Miss Joaquim, the national flower of Singapore, to commemorate the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix. The 41mm Grade 5 titanium timepiece includes Petronas-green accents and is worn by drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.
