The İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has implemented a stationery aid program for families with primary and middle school students. Managed by the Social Services Department, the initiative provides 100 million Turkish Liras in financial support to 20,000 households to cover the costs of school supplies such as notebooks and pens.

This funding represents a significant increase from previous years, which saw allocations of approximately 34.1 million TL in 2024 and 48.7 million TL in 2025. Under Mayor Cemil Tugay, the cumulative stationery support has reached 182,896,000 TL. Beneficiaries can access the funds at Vakıfbank branches using identification documents. Mustafa Apaydın, Head of the Education Support Branch, noted that these investments are intended to ensure children have a strong start to the school year.
