# Jagex RuneScape content roadmaps

Jagex has released content roadmaps for its RuneScape titles extending through 2027. For RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the company announced that following the conclusion of ‘Kuldra’s Saga,’ the game will enter a new narrative arc called the ‘Blood Crystal Saga.’ 

Initial updates for Dragonwilds include the ‘Luminance’ update in December 2026, which will introduce elven customization, music-based mechanics, and a ‘Prayer’ skill. The 2027 expansion will feature the ‘Song of Rebellion’ installment, introducing the Ailddinas area and a ‘Hunter’ skill, followed by ‘Crown of Night,’ which will add new terrains and legendary equipment. Jagex also teased a future MMORPG referred to as ‘RS4.’

For Old School RuneScape (OSRS), the roadmap includes ‘The Fractured Archive’ endgame raid in October 2026 and the launch of ‘Hardcore Worlds’ in November 2026. Planned 2027 content for OSRS includes the opening of the Menaphos area, the ‘Fool’s Gold’ quest, and overhauls to the Mining and Smithing skills.
