Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has transitioned the Land Rover Defender 110 from a Completely Built-Up (CBU) import model to a locally assembled model at its Pune facility in India. This process utilizes Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits sourced from Slovakia.

The shift to local assembly has led to significant price reductions across various engine variants. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol model’s price decreased by ₹14 lakh to ₹99 lakh, while the 3.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre diesel variants saw reductions of ₹34 lakh each, bringing their prices to ₹1.18 crore.

Alongside lower pricing, JLR has integrated several previously optional features as standard equipment for the locally assembled 110 models, such as adaptive off-road cruise control, electronic air suspension, and three-zone climate control. While the 110 model is now produced locally, the 90 and 130 versions remain available as CBU imports.
